Vineyard Vibrancy

One thing I've noticed about New England, is that many people are afraid of color. It is so refreshing to find a home where the owners were slightly fearless. Inspiring! I'm really into wearing variations of grey right now... but I always try to pop with a burst of color. That's exactly what the owners of this home have done for their interiors.. they used color in very purposeful locations, without going overboard. Most of the spaces hold neutral backdrops, with splashes of vibrant color. The owners, actively participating in the design process for multiple homes, have recently moved into this home on Chappaquiddick, a very small Island off of Martha's Vineyard. Check it out!..

Whoa... gorgeous.

The color and stripes really stand out against the white background.

Electric blue on the walls, and robins egg blue on the ceilings - this creates an added interest, while still remaining relatively subdued. Loving the black accents!

Two tones of lavender on the ceilings! The owner said she loves this color because it feels like she is waking up outside every morning. Yummmm..

... by the way, if you've never been to Martha's Vineyard, or Chappaquiddick - I highly recommend it! My sister and I make a yearly trip, and it's absolutely stunning. It has the quaint charm of any dreamy New England destination, but you feel so isolated. I can't wait to go this year!!!
